Laughery Creek Bridge, also known as "Triple Whipple Bridge" due to the special engineering design, just south of Aurora, in Dearborn/Ohio County, in Indiana. Intersected-IN-56 (Old Alignment) Over Laughery Creek. Construction Date-1878. Length - 300'. Structure Type: Single span, Metal 21 Panel Pin-Connected Triple Intersection Pratt Through Truss, Fixed. Builder/Contractor: Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Canton, Ohio. Rehabilitation Date-2008. Inventory Number-1500079. This bridge is among the most spectacular and impressive historic bridges standing today, it is the only remaining example of its kind known.
